Hello everyone, I hope you are having a great week. In today's blog I will talk about my favorite subject this semester, it cost me a lot to choose one, since, as we have found ourselves with students protests in the university, I didn´t manage to have many classes.
my chosen subject is called "written language and drafting", in each class we write about a topic designated by the teacher, which allows us to let go and train ourselves as future journalists and improve the quality of writing with which we come from school.
As it´s a more practical subject, it hasn´t focused so much on the content, we have addressed many issues such as as who do we address when writing news?, the interest of the public, the weight of the editorial lines, how it influences communication, reporting and criticism.
The reason why I like this subject is very absurd, it´s because it is the one that I do best, I really enjoy understanding everything quite well and have very good grades, which really surprises me. At the beginning of the year I was very insecure about this subject, since, although I had written other times for personal taste, I had classmates much more dedicated to that area, which brought me a lot of insecurity about my writing.
Sounds interesting! To improve you have to practice a lot. It is a subject that I would also like to.

ResponderEliminarIt sounds so cool. I like to write too and I totally get the insecurity, is such a mental brick wall thinking..."oh, I believe I'm doing ok, but I'm sure others have better drafts (or in my case, stories)" when you face the blank paper. But practice makes the master, that's what I tell myself.
ResponderEliminarI remember that in the first year I also liked that subject although my favorite was Ethics and journalistic treatments, but I think that just as much of the taste of one subject over another depends a lot on the teachers.
